This elegant portrait pitcher dates to pre-WWII, ca. 1930's Austria. It is called a "squat" pitcher, highlighting its short 4" height.  Rich brown and caramel color and a decorative scroll handle on the left. Backstamp Austria on bottom.

The portrait is of a 19th young lady with long flowing dark tresses. Nice soft, glaze finish.

The condition is VG with some expected loss of gold around the spout. No chips, nicks, etc. This will look very lovely in a Victorian style setting such as a bedroom, dressing room or living room. A beautiful addition to any curio and a nice gift idea too for the collector of Victorian decor.
